A Ghanaian based Company called M&L Trinity Company limited, a subsidiary of of UNICON WESTERN HOLDINGS has presented an amount of GH70,000 to a patient diagnosed with kidney problem.
The presentation was made on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the premises of the company in Takoradi.
Daniel Kwesi Mensah, a staff of UNICON WESTERN HOLDINGS who had worked for only 3 months and in the course of exercising his duty, he was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney problem.
Considering the nature of his job on board, Daniel was replaced by his Employer.
Explaining the rationale behind the presentation, the Chief Operating Officer of UNICON WESTERN HOLDINGS, Mark Lord Ebbah said the company is not interested in bad news.
According to him, the family could not afford the cost of providing health care delivery to Daniel alone, hence the intervention of the company by presenting that huge amount.
According to Mark, the company have a welfare package For its staff but the amount of Ghc70,000 donated to Daniel Kwesi Mensah is beyond the package.
He said per the terms and condition of the company, the ex-worker doesn’t qualify for any package since he only worked for 3 months but he qickly added “as a company if we would enjoy with them in their happy moment, we should also mourn or support them in their weak or sad moment”.
The Chief Operation Officer called on the other companies to emulate gesture of UNICON by supporting their staffs in times of difficulties.

On their part, Daniel Mensah and his mother commended the management of UNICON WESTERN HOLDINGS for such wonderful gesture.
