Takoradi: Cholera outbreak hit Kansaworodo community

Cholera outbreak has hit the residents of Kansaworodo community a surbub  of Essikado-Ketan in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis as a result of uncollected hype of refuse that sits in the heart of the community.

Confirming the latest outbreak, the Assemblyman of Kansaworodo electoral Area, Hon. Matthew Kweku Adams said his committee Members alerted him last week that a number of the residents have been diagnosed of Cholera after going to hospital.

According to him, the Committee Members together with himself accessed the situation to get the total number of people that have been affected with the Cholera.

Explaining further, Hon. Adams said prior to the outbreak, he appealed to the leadership of the Sekondi-Takoradi Municipal Assembly(STMA) during one of their sittings to find an amicable solution to the possible cholera outbreak in the area but they turned deaf ears to his plea.

In an exclusive interview with Odiasempa Kofi Boadi of KINGDOM FM TAKORADI, the Assembly assured that measures have been outlined geared towards curbing the outbreak.
