The National deputy communication officer of the National Democratic Congress has called the outfit of the Criminal Investigative Department of the police invitation of Ofosu Ampofo ,the party chairman as a senseless act and hence the party deems not worthy of honoring the invitation.

In an interview on the Kingdom Breakfast, the deputy communication officer Kwaku Boahen said that the ruling party lacked common sense and its no surprise that the police institution is also allowing the government to infiltrate it independent and  autonomous work.

‘The New Patriotic Party lacks common sense as it can be evidenced in their bad governing policies and the poor livelihoods of individuals in the country. They are doing their best to divert the attention of citizens to politically motivated issues but we are telling them that the electorates are not blind and they will punish them. The New Patriotic Party in itself lacks common sense and i know that invitation letter was not put together by the CID but we strongly suspect that it is a work of John Boadu and his party executives’. He said on the Kingdom Breakfast this morning.

He revealed that the Criminal Investigative Department and their head Maame Tiwa Addo Danquah cannot impose any unwanted acts on them and legally they will be ready to face them in  court if the need be so.

Lawyer Fifi Buckman of Bosomtwi Sam And Associates in the Western Region however explained that the NDC chairman has the right and power and backed by law to either honor the invitation of the CID and at the moment as things beckon, the CIDs outfit can only arrest him on a warrant granted by the court of justice. He revealed minor concern over how the CID has handled the issue and wished if they do not make investigative process of this nature thrown to the public domain.
